At the end of the course there is a final examination for the completion of the degree. The final examination consists of the presentation of an original thesis written individually by each enrolled student, on a topic related to the subjects of the Master's program, and previously agreed upon with the Scientific Teaching Council, in Italian and English or French, and an abstract in Italian and English or French. To be eligible to take the final examination, the student must compulsorily:
- have regularly attended lectures (not less than 75% of the scheduled hours) and foreign internships;
- have acquired the required number of university credits, including credits corresponding to other educational activities performed;
- be in good standing with the payment of the registration fee and final examination fee;
- having filled out the AlmaLaurea questionnaire and printed out the corresponding receipt, which must be handed in to the Master's degree secretary's office.
The final paper will be presented and discussed in front of the Selection Committee formed by the members of the Scientific Teaching Committee and some foreign partners, which expresses the grade in hundredths and may, unanimously, grant the candidate the highest grade with honors. The minimum mark for passing the test is 66/110 (sixty-six/hundredths of a second). The final diploma is issued by the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, only after checking the regularity of the student's administrative position. The Director of the Master's program will provide for the distribution of the Master's diploma to those entitled to it in the manner he/she wishes to agree. Official Attendance Certificates will also be issued by the 3 Partner Universities.
